2023 June 9th, Day 57 Bangor to Ardglass,

I had the sails up as soon as the fenders and mooring lines were stored but for control I used the engine going through Donaghadee Sound where the tide was running strongly even though I had reached the entrance at slack water.

Facebook Post 9th June:

A quick but very bumpy ride down from Bangor, although I escaped from there now I may be stuck here [Ardglass] as it’s likely to be windy tomorrow and if it doesn’t veer soon "The Skerries" could be untenable or at least very uncomfortable. Then the wind goes light and southerly, I had hoped to wait that out at anchor at the Skerries rather than here at a fairly expensive marina.

Bangor to Ardglass

36 miles in 7 hours.
